To be successful with programme and project funding, organisations need excellent information flows, robust planning, motivated and skilled staff, and strong and participatory systems for programme development and programme management.

Flamingo specialises in management and institutional funding, with a particular focus on UK and international bilateral and multilateral donors.

The following are some examples of recent consultancy assignments:

Proposal development workshops with international teams

Flamingo has worked with international NGOs to hold proposal development workshops, bringing together a range of programme and fundraising staff to develop successful proposals for institutional donors, starting from programme design, and tailoring project planning tools for specific donors.

Rachel is a regular trainer on Bond’s Open Programme course: Fundraising from Institutions. This participative course, giving hands-on practice in proposal development techniques and skills, can also be run in-house, specifically tailored for client’s needs. Managing institutional grants can be time consuming, and require a specialist approach. Flamingo has worked with small and medium sized organisations to provide coaching support in the management of grant set up, narrative and financial reporting, evaluation, and grant completion processes.
